DOMA - let's make it really what they want, and here's how.

DOMA and the people that support it say that marriage is between a man and woman, the main reason for this distinction is the the for the procreation of the human race, aka children. So here is what we do, we make marriage 100% about the children, so no tax or health benefits for the the parental units. From the point of view of the IRS, they will look exactly like a single people. Companies will not offer spouses, partners, significant others, or any type of pairing between consenting adults for, any type of health insurance or company benefits for the same reason. Most tax or health benefits that are being removed from the individual biological incubators, aka parents, will be bestowed upon the children direct.

Here is the best part, if a legal marriage does not result in the pregnancy of the female of the pair, within a twenty-four month time frame from the date of the marriage, the marriage will automatically be annulled. The same goes for a marriage where there are children, when the youngest child reaches the age of eighteen.

This way, everything is equal for everyone, and the children are cared for by parents who want to be parents, and want to be together with one another. Think of what this would do to the divorce rate, it would plummet to zero. Businesses would have that extra cash on hand to expand their business and hire more people, and thus the economy would be strengthened.
