The purpose of a cock ring as I understand it, and from personal experience is to trap blood in the penis and balls to make your erection larger and last longer. All of that is true, when I have worn one, my cock is noticeable bigger, and veins are more prominent. Some people can't fuck without them, I've used them and would prefer to fuck without them. While they do make my cock bigger and longer by holding more blood in the penis, the long term effect of their use scares me more than trying to get a bit more size out of my cock. As I understand them, the long term effects are that the blood vessels or cells of the penis breakdown so that after long term used of a cock ring, the only way to keep blood in the penis is through the use of a cock ring.
