The fundamentalist who say that being gay is a choice, must mean that they are fighting that choice all the time, which suggest that given an opportunity where their god wouldn't find out they would the gayest people around. Their flaw is in believing that their god is perfect and mistakes aren't a possibility, so being gay has to be a choice because god is perfect.

One of the things that I remember from my college philosophy class, is that logic can be used to prove anything, which is also one of the reasons that I'm not a big fan of Vulcans (though Spock is okay, being half human and all.) So using logic to prove your case is not much different than just belief for the sake of belief, but with logic you can get others to buy into the belief. When others buy into the belief, then there's money and power to be had.
