Art

People need more art in their lives. There's not much to remember from the dark ages unless you like pestilence, and the black death, but the Renaissance is another matter. A period in history where some massive gains in human knowledge occurred and some of the greatest artist flourished. Art and knowledge go hand in hand, and that is one argument for spending public money through the National Endowment for the Arts.

I don't know if Van Gogh would be to happy with what his art has inspired here, but if someone knows his name that didn't before I would think that makes up for any jest at his art expense.
